Applied AI Literacy is a mandatory, fully online course for undergraduate and postgraduate students from all academic disciplines. It develops the practical knowledge, critical judgement and ethical awareness required to use contemporary artificial intelligence tools effectively and responsibly.
The course introduces artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, neural networks and data literacy in accessible language. Students then gain practical experience with generative AI and low-code or no-code tools through activities relevant to their own discipline. The final module addresses academic integrity, algorithmic bias, misinformation, hallucination, privacy, copyright, intellectual property and human oversight.
Learning is delivered primarily through self-paced digital content, supported by six live online sessions. Assessment consists of three module quizzes, structured engagement activities and an applied AI workflow project. No coding experience is required.
